NSNY: Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Giuseppe Leonardo Di Caterino, and in my art, “Mr.Jkr”. I am 20 years old. I am an aspiring graphic artist and I study graphic design. I am self-taught and take training courses.
NSNY: What is your favorite piece you have ever created?
My favorite piece is about the sad reality of the atomic bomb. His name is “Atomic Trump”, inspired from a painting by Magritte, representing Trump with the atomic bomb and the American flag that fills the image.
NSNY: Sometimes Artists have creative blocks. Do you have any advice on how to overcome them based on past experiences?
Yes, I do. For example, when I have creative blocks I watch movies, read books, visit art shows and look at everyday objects.
NSNY: Where do you pull your inspiration from?
I pull my inspiration from art, music, cinema, nature and from everything around me.
NSNY: Do you pursue any other mediums besides those you show on Instagram?
Yes, I do. I also like drawing, painting and taking pictures.
NSNY: Do you have a website?
I don’t have a website yet because with graphic design I only started four months ago, and I need to learn more before opening a website. I’m a work in progress! 🤙
