LaChapelle Releases Two Books
David LaChapelle has now released his final two books, seemingly marking the end of his long and prosperous career. TASCHEN is proud to announce Lost + Found, Part I and Good News, Part II, the long-awaited, latest and final publications from artist David LaChapelle. The books are the fourth and fifth installments of LaChapelle s five-book anthology, which began with LaChapelle Land (1996), continued with Hotel LaChapelle (1999), and followed with Heaven to Hell (2006). Photographic Style
David LaChapelle is best known for his photography, which often references art history while conveying social messages. His photographic style has been described as “hyper-real and slyly subversive” and as “kitsch pop surrealism”. Once called the Fellini of photography, LaChapelle has worked for international publications and has had his work exhibited commercial galleries and institutions around the world.
